The Gregg Family has been out of pocket for the last week traveling to see family during Christmas. We had Christmas with my family in Huntsville, Alabama and Marnie's family in Dallas, Texas. We essentially drove in a BIG circle through the southern United States. We traveled through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas. It makes me tired to just think about all that driving.
It was great to see everyone and it is also GREAT to be home. In Huntsville there were as many as 27 people in the house a one time. That might be a little to much togetherness. It was cramped but we had a great time. I hope you had a great Christmas too.

- We changed the gels in the light tree
- A family volunteered to host the New Year's Eve Gathering.
- Jimmy was sick but made it through the service.
- Brian left a microphone on after the welcome. During the next song it sounded like an airplane was landing in the theater.
- I preached Luke 2:8-17
- I Talked about the announcement of the the birth of Jesus.
- The announcement was to announce the birth of Christ while also communicating how much we matter to God.

Christmas Parade
The Christmas Parade has come and gone. It was great fun working together to build the float. This morning we all met at 6th and Main for the big event. A big thank you to all the Lifepoint team that represented our church and greeted our community. It was windy and cold but there were still huge crowds of people along the parade route. I didn't get an exact count but I would guess aroundd 70 parade entries and floats this year. We passed out around 2000 invite cards. The torch we had burning inside the big candle didn't catch anything else on fire...yes!! The float from ground to top of the candle was over 10 feet tall. Jeremy hooked up a heater in the back of the truck for the kids...great thinking. All in all I thought it was a great morning. You can check out more pictures here.

Happy Birthday Marnie
Today is a special day. It's Marnie's birthday. Last night Collin and I took her out to eat at Olive Garden and came home to eat some Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Cake. Good stuff!! Collin did a good job keeping the surprises secret this year. His excitement usually gets the best of him. Marnie takes care of us 10,000 ways everyday. It is nice to have a day to celebrate her.
