The last few days the sun has been out and it has been pretty warm. Last weekend we had an Oklahoma Spring Snow. In Owasso we received around 6 inches of snow which is unusual because we usually get ICE in Oklahoma.

Friend Day
This Sunday is FRIEND DAY!! Do you have anyone coming with you? If you don't it's not to late. Send someone an email. Use the E-Invite off the website. Make a phone call. Life Group Tonight
Wild Life Group tonight. We studied Peter's sermon in Acts 2:22-24, 32-41. While preparing for the discussion I was really drawn to this verse. It was not possible for death to hold Jesus. The resurrection gets me fired up!!
The last two weeks discussions have brought us to some interesting topics.
1. What is the difference between being indwelt and filled with the Holy Spirit?
2. How was the Bible canonized?
We may come back to these in a couple weeks. I could tell everyone was very interested in the verses we looked at. I love having an environment where people feel they have freedom to ask questions. We had a good prayer time at the end. The last few people left after 9:00 p.m. We were still talking about the Bible to the very end. It is my greatest hope that God will use these discussions to help our church grow deep roots into His Word.

Pastor's Conference
Last week I was able to attend and preach at the Pastor's Conference at County Avenue Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas. It was fun. Here are a couple thoughts from the conference.
- It was great to see friends I don't get to see very often.
- I preached Acts 8:5-8 about reaching a city. I mentioned one of my favorite missionary quotes."Some wish to live within the sound of a chapel bell; I wish to run a rescue mission within a yard of hell." C.T. Studd
- Someone asked if Lifepoint would consider being the destination for cityreach in the future. That would be fun.
- I had some great conversations with pastors I hadn't talked to before.
- I am really encouraged when I see people talk about Jesus and their city with passion.
- When I watch James Bull lead music it makes me want to sing. He never ceases to amaze me.
- Every sermon and workshop I heard was awesome!!

Outreach
Two teams went out on outreach today. In two different neighborhoods we knocked on about 130 doors. All in all it was a good day. We had some nice conversations with people. I'm hoping we can do it again next week.
